The Spar Supermarket is located adjacent to the Marina in Colonia de Saint Pere, 3km from Betlem.

The shop has a wide range of products that should meet all your needs. There is fresh bread daily, full cream and semi-skimmed milk, fruit, vegetables and all types of meat. There is also a wide choice of wines, spirits and beers.

Prices are very reasonable.

Opening hours: 8am to 1pm and 5pm to 8pm, 7 days a week.

The main weekly market is in Arta (7km from Betlem) on Tuesdays from 8am. This takes place in the main square in Arta and is very popular with locals and tourists alike. There is a wide range of produce available from fresh food and flowers to DVDs, 'T' shirts and local paintings.

I would highly recommend a visit to the market, followed by lunch at Café Parisien. The afternoon can be spent exploring the narrow streets of Arta with its many shops and art galleries, finished off with a visit to the Cathedral at the top of the hill.

There is a pharmacy on the main road into Colonia de Saint Pere. It is situated on the left hand side of the road (can't be missed).

There are 2 banks in Colonia near the seafront (off Paseo del Mar). This bank has a cashpoint.
